Privacy notice: how Digital Monday keeps your details safe
Privacy
Who we are
Digital Monday (digitalmonday.com) is an Australian-owned business run by Steven Morey. This notice explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how cookies and tracking work on this site, and the rights you have.
What we collect
When you sign up for the launch, we collect your name, your email address and your website address, and your answers to the questions on the form: what kind of site it is, what you pay your agency now (optional) and what you want most. When you send a message through the Contact us page, we also keep your message and the website address you gave us. When you use this site, our systems and our providers receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit.
Why we use it
To tell you when Digital Monday launches, to check whether your site is a fit, to carry out the services you ask for, to reply to your messages, to keep the site secure and working, and, only if you agree, to measure which ads and searches bring people to us.
Cookies and tracking
We use two kinds of storage on your device. The first is strictly necessary and always on: your browser remembers, for this visit only, your first name after you sign up (so the thank-you page can greet you) and whether you closed the launch offer bar. These are not shared with anyone.
The second kind is optional and stays OFF until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you choose Reject, or you ignore the banner, none of them run. You can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. These are the tools we use or may use to measure which ads, searches and links bring people to this site. Some of them may not be installed yet: a tool switches on only after we set it up, and only after you accept.
LeadSource attribution cookies. What they collect: which ad, search or link brought you here (for example the campaign details in the address you arrived from, or an ad click identifier), stored in a cookie on your device. Why: so we can see which marketing is working. Their policy: leadsource.co/privacy.
Google Ads. What it collects: your IP address, the page you were on, an identifier, and whether you reached our sign-up after clicking a Google ad. Why: to measure whether a Google ad led to a sign-up. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). What it collects: your IP address, browser details, the page you were on, an identifier, and whether you signed up after clicking a Meta ad. Why: to measure whether a Facebook or Instagram ad led to a sign-up. Meta's policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Reddit Pixel. What it collects: your IP address, browser details, the page you were on, an identifier, and whether you signed up after clicking a Reddit ad. Why: to measure whether a Reddit ad led to a sign-up. Reddit's policy: reddit.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Consent works through Google Consent Mode: advertising and analytics storage start as denied, and nothing is sent to these providers before you choose. If we later add another tool, we will name it here first.
The forms
What you type into the sign-up and Contact us forms is sent to our database, which is hosted by Supabase, and email about it is sent through Mailgun: a confirmation to you and a notice to us. These providers handle your details for us and only on our instructions. The forms are protected against spam, and nothing in them is sold.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the service providers that help us run this site and the service (hosting, database, email and the optional tools above), and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your details.
Where it is kept
Our providers may store and process your details in Australia and in other countries, including the United States. Where your details leave Australia, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on our providers' safeguards for that transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only as long as we need them for the reasons above, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights in Australia
Under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. If you think we have handled your information wrongly you can complain to us first, and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Your rights in the UK and Europe
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, UK GDPR and GDPR give you the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to take it with you, and to withdraw your consent at any time (withdrawing does not affect what we did before). You can complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
How to use your rights
To see, change or delete your details, to stop hearing from us, or to ask any question about this notice, send a message on the Contact us page.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children and we do not knowingly collect their details.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the date below, and if the change matters to you we will tell you.
